i just got to the part in hgss where lance basically commands me to pummel my favorite pokemon.

i’ll catch all three of them and raise them lovingly until their levels are higher than YOUR pokemon’s, lance!! with one goal in mind: REVENGE!!! and i warn you! i am VERY patient when it comes to level grinding!!!

Mizuki (bold) - now while i certainly agree that roserade would be like the PERFECT pokemon for mizuki, i personally don’t like roserade for very petty reasons i will not bring up!! i chose xatu for mizuki because it SEES things. like mizuki sees all your weaknesses!!! marumie desu yo!!!!! but seriously idk it just seemed like a good idea at the time so LEAVE ME ALONE!!!
Akazawa (adamant) - it was between this and primeape and while primeape is one of my favorite pokemon ever, i went with poliwrath because akazawa likes scuba diving YAY!!!
Yuta (naive) - i imagine shusuke has like an espeon or whatever and he wants yuta to evolve his eevee so they can match!!! but yuta does not want that. he wants to fight with eevee as the one it is!! eevee!! not the pokemon that can evolve into this and that!! it is the one it is just like yuta is yuta!!! also eevee and yuta look alike, don’t deny it.
Kaneda (modest) - kaneda is the DOUBLES EXPERT of st. rudolph and is there really a pokemon more doubles-y than VANILLUXE??? i think not!!!
Atsushi (um I forgot. I think it was calm) - between all the counterpart/twin-type pokemon, i went with solrock and lunatone for ryoh and atsushi because they look really weird and stone-faced to match the twins’ poker faces! i went with lunatone for atsushi and solrock for ryoh because i don’t know. it just seemed to fit.
Shinya (jolly) - farfetch’d is actually much more of a duck pokemon than psyduck/golduck!!!! so there!!!!
Nomura (rash) - nomura’s chatot likes to scream OTOUTO-KUN OTOUTO-KUN at the top of its lungs and gets pummeled by yuta’s eevee a lot!!! oh no!!!

is it just me or are pokemon black and white waaaayy too plot/text heavy
i mean i think they’re wonderful and all, but sometimes i just want to kick back and enjoy the scenery and train my pokemon and explore on my own but OH WAIT it’s like i literally can’t enter a new area without mom calling or cheren wanting to battle or bel shoving me over to the musicals or n telling me his life story or gym leaders bossing me around!!!
i mean geez!!! were the previous games like this? when i’m done with my current white replaythrough i might restart some of them and see for myself, okay good night.
